Scottish Government's Boiler Scrappage Scheme - Summer 2011

The Boiler Scrappage Scheme has been re-introduced.  You can apply for a grant of £400 towards the cost of a new boiler.  There are 2,500 grants available on a first come, first served basis.  Boilers must be fitted by Gas Safe registered engineers (for gas boilers) AND members of a licensed body such as SNIPEF or CLE, otherwise you will not qualify for the grant.

Fuel Switch Grants Available for Home Owners & Landlords

If you are a home owner or a landlord you could receive a grant of up to £420 for switching to energy efficient appliances, including boilers.

If you are over 70 years old or on certain benefits you could save up to £520 for switching to energy efficient appliances.

Energy Assistance Packages

The Scottish Government has introduced the Energy Assistance Package to help householders maximise incomes, reduce fuel bills and improve the energy efficiency of homes. It replaces the Central Heating and Warm Deal programmes.
